hen it comes to resources to help businesses of all sizes grow and succeed in St. Charles County, the expert and friendly staff at the EDC is ready to help directly or through their network of partner organizations around the St. Louis region and across Missouri.
Rest assured, business resources come in many forms and from various sources and can be tailored to the specific needs of any organization.
They can range from assisting companies to participating in discussions with governmental officials on specialized assistance packages for qualifying projects, or it can also be providing crucial demographic information and helping companies get plugged into the community.
Some of the EDC’s main partners in attracting new business investment and assisting existing companies of all sizes are:
Economic Development Roundtable – The Economic Development Roundtable (EDR) is an EDC committee comprised of all the economic development professionals from local government in St. Charles County. Together this group coordinates its united responses to new business inquires from outside the community, works in unison to strengthen relationships with existing companies in the area, and jointly promotes opportunities throughout St. Charles County.
St. Louis Regional Chamber and Growth Association – The St. Louis Regional Chamber and Growth Association (RCGA) connects business and civic communities in the 16-county, bi-state region. Whether supporting public policy and infrastructure initiatives, or attracting new jobs, capital and talent --- the RCGA is leading the way to a Greater St. Louis.
Missouri Partnership - The Missouri Partnership was formed in 2007 with the intention of bringing new business and industry into the state. As a nonprofit economic development organization, the Partnership works together with other economic development organizations at the state, regional and local levels to attract new companies and help advance Missouri’s standing as an industrial leader.
Missouri Department of Economic Development – The Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED) is the state agency that administers programs relating to the promotion of the economy of the state, trade and business. The director, appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Missouri Senate, oversees economic development, regulation of business, financial institutions, and professional registration.
