St. Charles County has grown from just over 212,000 residents in 1990 to more than 386,000 today. Community and business leaders in the area have worked diligently to invest billions in public infrastructure to build new roads and highways.

Travel by Car

Thanks to the coordination of local, state, and federal officials and agencies, St. Charles County is served by five river crossings:

  • The Veterans Memorial Bridge
  • The Highway 370 Discovery Bridge
  • The Interstate 70 Blanchette Bridge
  • Interstate 64/Highway 40 Boone Bridge
  • The Page Bridge (Creve Coeur Park Connector)

Travel by Air

Many corporate travelers enjoy the convenience of landing at Spirit of St. Louis Airport in Chesterfield Valley which is just across the river bluffs from the Missouri Research Park on Interstate 64/Highway 40. St. Charles County is also located less than 20 minutes (by vehicle) to Lambert St. Louis International Airport and 10 minutes (by vehicle) from Creve Coeur Airport.

Travel by Train

Two railroad systems for commercial traffic also run through St. Charles County: Norfolk Southern Railway and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway.

Travel by Boat

For those drawn to more scenic routes, the Brussels Ferry and Golden Eagle Ferry provide access from northern St. Charles County across the Mississippi River to the Great River Road in Illinois.
