Yes. After decades of development in our county, and thousands of built rooftops inhabited, we are ready to look at “new“ ways to develop our neighborhoods. An extensive study of our county’s future development needs included the building of diversified and mixed-use housing, and the opportunity of revitalizing our older neighborhoods. This is what Millennials and Boomers both want.
The Quality of Place Committee is reviewing other cities mixed-use developments to determine how to best advocate for similar developments in our county. The QOP committee, chaired by Don Kalicak, is also communicating with individual cities here in our county, with specific areas around their original Main /Old Towns, that merit redevelopment.
